What was even the point of this whole fiasco today? What, was denying your users access and being as annoying as possible supposed to get people on your side? We got the point after the first redirect, and you could have jsut moved on from there. But nope, denying people what they wanted to see or do on your site was a lot more damaging and pathetic than clever or insightful or funny in anyway. it's just as as clueless as what the people you're opposing are trying to do. Being as bad as they are is not how you change anyone's mind and it being April 1st is no excuse.
i'll just tell everyone using this site to use Adblocker on it from now one. It will just be small amounts, but it will still be funny denying you ad revenue. HA HA APRIL FOOLS! HOW IS THAT NOT HILARIOUS????

I feel like NG has a lot of vested interest in these things, being that it hosts a fair amount of questionable content. Adding a content filter is more or less emulating what it could be like should certain powers that be change how things we take for granted work. Like you said, any little ripple you make isnt really going to have much of an effect on the site. (Pretty sure NG gets most of its income from supporters, since its been blacklisted) I didnt find it funny, but more as a display of "this could be the future, do you like it?" and the answer has been a universal "no"
Its a form of expression, maybe even art. Relax.

As a form of expression or art, that means it's open to criticism. And it gets a big thumbs down from me. Screwing over your users or contributors even for a short while just annoys them and wins no converts. There were much better and more effective ways to make a point than hijacking the whole site into this idiocy for 24 hours or however long this is going to last. But that's just my opinion, I guess..
